Russell Milton Campbell's Obituary
Russell Milton Campbell, 78, of Culpeper died Monday, November 13, 2006 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born February 9, 1928 in Rappahannock County to the late Raymond and Thelma Pierce Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a member of Remington United Methodist Church. In his earlier years, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, and playing ball. He was an avid Redskin fan and enjoyed watching ballgames.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Ruby Simmons Campbell, one brother, William Campbell and his wife, Shirley of Culpeper, two nephews and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert “Jack” Campbell.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Rev. Charles Stacy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Satterfield, Sanford Martin, John Staples, Ray Shade, Nelson French, and Jerry Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Remington United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 86, Remington, VA 22734.
