Russell W. Collins Jr.'s Obituary
Russell Whitney Collins, Jr., 82 of Fredericksburg passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Raised in Scottsville Virginia, Russell was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Annie Collins.
Russell served in the US Army during the Vietnam conflict and later worked and retired as a truck driver for V.T.L. Russell was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3103 and Masonic Lodge 45 in Scottsville, VA.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruby L. Collins, a stepdaughter Brenda Leake of Fredericksburg; a son, Gregory Collins of Kent Store, VA; a sister, Joan M. Collins of Scottsville; a nephew, Marc Collins of Fredericksburg; a brother-in-law, Ted Mauck and his wife Roseanne of Michigan and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd.,Fredericksburg. A graveside service will follow at 12 noon in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Harfst officiating.
