Russell Jackson Brown, Jr.'s Obituary
Russell Jackson Brown, Jr. 67, of Rixeyville went to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his family. Russell was born November 11, 1948 in Fauquier County to the late Russell J. Brown, Sr. and the late Katherine Mae Hawkins Brown.
Russell was a farmer and dairy farmer, he enjoyed woodworking, taking a ride on his motorcycle viewing the beauty of the nature that surrounded him. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family going antiquing, sitting back with his friends and loved to play with his little Jack Russell “Scottie”. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and attended regularly until the church moved to Madison.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Judy Jane Jenkins Brown and their three boys; Kenneth J. Brown, Sr. and his wife Michaelle of Spotsylvania, Keith J. Brown and his wife Teena of Newport News and Christopher L. Brown Sr. and his wife Melissa of Madison, four grandchildren Kenneth J. Brown, Jr. and Kevin L. Brown both of Culpeper, Christopher L. Brown, Jr. and Jacob A. Brown both of Madison; and two great grandchildren, Aleah and Rylee.
Russell is also survived by his six siblings; Bonnie J. Jenkins of Culpeper, John R. Brown and his wife Patty of Mitchell, Wayne M. Brown, Sr. and his wife Brenda of Culpeper, Ronnie D. Brown and his wife Darlene of Orange, Gregory D. Brown, Sr. and his wife Faye of Culpeper, Kim D. Powell and her husband Don of Culpeper.
In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by one daughter, Tanya A. Brown; and one sister Robin Burke.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers named are; Kenneth J. Brown, Sr., Kevin L. Brown, Robert F. Hitt, Greg Demert, Charles Campbell and Ron Wortman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Ave. Suite B, Winchester, VA 22601.
