Ruby Gallihugh Compton's Obituary
Ruby E. Gallihugh Comptom, 83, of Culpeper went to be with the Lord Saturday April 11, 2009 at University of Virginia Medical Center Charlottesville. She was born February 15, 1926 in Madison County to the late Weldon T. Gallihugh and Corrie Smith Gallihugh.
Ruby was a charter member of the Brandy Station Fire Dept. Ladies Auxillary, life member of the Country Garden Club and was Treasure for 25 years, member of the Culpeper memorial Hospital Pink Ladies for 25 years and a member of the Culpeper Library. Also she was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Brandy Station
She is survived by her daughter Lois E. Compton, Sister Fannie B. Settle, nephew Larry G. Settle and his wife Sheri of Culpeper, her aunt Martha Huffman of Madison, sister in law Dorothy Gallihugh of Front Royal. Additional Survivros are nephews and nieces Ivy Gallihugh and his wife Nancy of Mechanicsville, Blair Gallihugh and his wife Cathy of Hungingtown, Md, Jim Gallihugh and his wife Arlene of Sterling, Ron Gallihugh and his wife Gina of Sterling, Susan Gallihugh and Carla Gallihugh of Allford, Fla.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Jacob Glenn Compton, a son William (Billy) Glenn Compton. Her brothers Iverson, Cornelius, Elvin and Lindsey Gallihugh
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 1:30pm at
Culpeper Masonic Cemetery with The Rev. Joie Clee Weiher
