Ruby Virginia Morley's Obituary
Ruby Virginia Morley, 70, of Fredericksburg, departed this life on Monday, September 3, at her home, with her family by her side.
She was born in Welch, West Virginia on December 15, 1941 to the late, Harry Dave Fizer and Muriel Irene Walker Fizer. She attended high school in Tazewell, Virginia.
Ruby was a homemaker most of her adult life, who raised and nurtured, not only her three children, but many of the neighborhood children who frequented her house in Waverly Village. She was an avid Redskins fan as was obvious when you entered her home by the various memorabilia displayed. Everyone knew when they played because you could hear her a mile away. She will always be remembered by her infectious laugh and warm and loving heart.
Ruby is survived by her husband, John Morley; daughters, Sandy Elliott and her fiancé, Scott Barber and Cathy Childers; daughter-in-law, Nicky Beach, all of Fredericksburg; her sisters, Claudia Woodall of Viewtown, VA, Mabel McGlothlin and her husband, Norm of Fayetteville, PA; seven grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Elliott, McKenzie and Austin Childers, Benjamin, Luke, and Bradford Morley; and her best friend, Janet Ezzell, whom she thought of as a sister. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers-in-law, Mike Morley and George Morley, their families, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her son, John Morley, II; twin sister, Muriel Irene Fizer and sister, Jeannette (Nannie) Fauver.
Ruby’s family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 with a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m., at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA.
