Ruby Mae Mastin's Obituary
Ruby Mae Mastin, 85, of Culpeper, VA, passed away, Monday, December 22, 2025. She was born on February 28, 1940 in Rappahannock County, VA to the late James and Mary Emma Jenkins.
She was an amazing, strong woman—a true firecracker. She never held anything back, yet at the same time would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. A hardworking and determined woman, she owned and operated her own landscaping business and also worked at Keller Manufacturing. Above all else, she loved her family dearly, and they were the center of her world.
Ruby is survived by her children, Roselyn Nolan (John), Matt Mastin, Lynn Mastin; grandson, Gerald “Scotty” Canard, Jr. (Mandy); great-granddaughter, Raelynn Canard; siblings, Mary Gant, her twin Gladys Bawkey, John Davis Jenkins, Charles Melvin Jenkins and Catherine Ford (Delmer).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mastin; children, James William Bawkey, Carolyn Kay, Lisa Lynn Bawkey, two infant children, John Robert Bawkey and Brenda Neil Bawkey; siblings, James William Jenkins, George Robert Jenkins and Henry Wilson Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Bobby Jenkins and Pastor Danny Ryder. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA.
Pallbearers serving the family will be Wayne Oldaker, Wayne Jenkins, David Jenkins, Scott Canard, Gerald Canard and Austin Lang.
