To the Richardson family, I go the Golden Corral every morning for breakfast take out before I go to work. When he was there, he would always say "good morning sunshine" he says because I always had a smile on my face when I would come in. The day I heard he had passed, not only was I shocked, numb to the core, I had no appetite to eat that morning, for I know he was not there that morning or will he ever be back. My eyes quickly filled with tears, which I could not stop from streaming down my face. once I finally got my mouth shut from being open from shock, I quickly exited the reasturant and have not been back since, for I know his face I will never see again to get my day started. He will be truly missed by all, for he was as kind and sweet as anyone could be. I will miss him greatly........RIP Mr. Richardson.

Dear Mrs. Richardson and family,
We go to Golden Corral quite a bit and Roy was the light of the restaurant. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We were at Golden Corral yesterday (Wednesday, March 20th). That's when we heard that Roy had passed away suddenly.
We will miss him very much.

Mrs. Richardson and Family,
My mom, dad and I had known Mr. Richardson for about 10 years from coming to Golden Corral. When we lost my mother almost 5 years ago Pop (as I affectingly called him) was a charm and comfort to my father and me.
I just learned of his passing today when we came to the Corral to have a birthday lunch; I was scanning to see if I saw him. The wind was taken out of my sail when I told the news.
Pop will surely be missed by all.
You and your family are in mine and my father’s prayers for the road ahead you face.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to you during this time of grief. As you are well aware, Roy was a dear friend and we will miss him dearly. Sorry that we were not able to attend the family reception but we did not get the news until last evening.May God surround you with His love and grace during these difficult times. Hope to see you when we are back to Culpeper.

Phyliss, Mr. Richardson was a GOOD man! He always will hold a special place in my heart. It won't be the same without him being in Golden Corral. I thank God for the privilege of knowing him.
It saddens us deeply with the loss of Roy. He epitamized happiness and hard work and was a true inspiration. It was a pleasure to have known him. I know the entire family is at a loss for words and a huge void exists wherever Roy would be, especially in our hearts! I still remember playing golf with Roy and Brad... Roy had more fun looking for lost golfballs along the ditches and woods than he did playing the game! His memory will always bring a smile!

To the Richardson Family,
Roy was the greatest of people. He was always working so hard at Golden Corral, and we always asked for Roy when we would to the Corral. He made eating there such a pleasure. He always talked about how much he loved his wife, Phyllis. He made sure that I got an applesause cake when Phyllis was making them. The best cake ever!! May God be with this family now and forever, helping them each day to know that Roy was so loved and always be remembered. May God give you the strength to go forward as Roy would want you to do, and please know OUR life was so much better knowing you and Roy. God Bless.
