Roy Knighting's Obituary
Roy Lee Knighting, 73, of Castleton went to be with is Savior on Saturday, October 3, 2009 with his family by his side after a long illness.
Roy Lee loved the outdoors. He was a farmer all of his life and worked on the Evans and Castaldi farms in Castleton. He also drove the school bus in Rappahannock County for many years.
He took great pride in his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha, his daughter, Debbie and her fiancé, Roy Weakley of Castleton, and his son, Roy Alan Knighting and his wife Shelly of Front Royal.
Additional survivors include 3 grandchildren, Brandy Knighting and her fiancé, Troy Cleer, Dillon Knighting and Jeremy Cook, and 2 great grandchildren, Logan Butler and Isabella Knighting.
He is also survived by his 4 sisters, Louise Moubray and her husband, Floyd, Pat Brockman and her husband, David, Juanita Davis and her husband, Duke and Geneva Williams and her husband, Junior and 5 brothers, Frank Knighting and his wife, Mary, Robert Weakley and his wife, Stephanie, Floyd Weakley and his wife, Margaret, Elmer Weakley and his wife, Marie, and Junior Weakley and his wife, Margaret.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie V. Weakley and Roy Benon Knighting and his brother, Wayne Weakley.
At Roy’s request, funeral arrangements will be private.
