Roy Gregory Hall's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Roy Gregory Hall on June 8, 2023. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, loving brother and a cherished friend. His presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him, and his memory will forever live on in our hearts.
Born on January 20, 1961 Roy Gregory Hall was born and raised in Kentucky, where he developed a strong work ethic, a compassionate nature, and a deep love for his family. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of integrity, kindness, and generosity, touching the lives of countless individuals along the way.
Roy was a dedicated family man, treasuring the moments spent with his loved ones above all else. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of support. He loved adventure and the outdoors.
Professionally, Roy was a respected entrepreneur known for his hard work, dedication, and expertise. Roy had many talents that range from Roofer, Woodcutter, Truck Driver to an excellent cook. His commitment to excellence was evident in every task he undertook, and he earned the respect and admiration of his business partners and peers. He was a mentor to many, always willing to share his knowledge and help others succeed.
Outside of his professional life, Roy had a passion for the outdoors, automobiles, tools and so much love for life. Whether it was pursuing his love for tree cutting, engaging in outdoor activities, or exploring new places, he found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a keen sense of adventure and an insatiable curiosity that led him to embrace new experiences and create lasting memories.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Roy will remember him for his warm smile, his gentle demeanor, beef jerky, funny dad jokes and his ability to make others feel valued and loved. He had a way of lighting up a room with his presence, and his infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days.
Roy leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. He will be deeply missed by his wife Alice Hall, Sisters Kathy Constien (Dan) and Laurie Hart (Paul), Daughters Amanda Hall, Sharon Walker, Octavia Price, son in law Kristopher Walker, Sons, Derek Price, Robert Woolen, Greg Price granddaughters Abigail Walker (Abby), Aubrey Walker (Bre), Tonia Woolen, Breanna Danae, Bella Woolen, Zarriah Bland-Hampton, Alyssa Price, Darian Price, and Elizabeth Price and a wide circle of family and friends who were touched by his kindness and grace.
Roy is proceeded in death by his parents, Laura and Clifford Hall, his brothers, Dale and Ricky Hall.
We invite close friends and family to join us on Wednesday June 14th from 4:00-5:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Home at 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22107. In celebrating his life and graveside burial we ask that you join us on Friday June 16, 2023 1:00 pm at 13226 St. Just Road, Unionville, VA 22567. In honoring his memory, let us strive to carry forward his values, to cherish our loved ones, and to make a positive difference in the world, just as he did.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to University of Virginia Lung Transplant Program in Roy Gregory Hall’s honor. This will ensure that his legacy of compassion and generosity continues to positively impact the lives of others.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Roy, we take solace in knowing that he has found peace, and his spirit will forever guide us. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
