Love, The Plante Family
For nearly a week I’ve contemplated what I should write about you, grandpa. Words cannot begin to express how thankful I am to have you as my grandfather. I’ve been blessed with having all four of my grandparents for nearly 26 years, and the loss of you is a heavy burden to bear. I know you have gone home to be with our Lord and Savior, and I know you are no longer in pain; for this we can rejoice. While you have left this earth, the memories and time we’ve shared together will not soon fade from my heart.
From dragging you out of your beloved garden as a thunderstorm neared (you just had to have those tomatoes and you just had to have your metal cane with you, poor grandma and I were scared to death); to you picking me up from school nearly every day I was in high school; to watching you eat your favorite foods (sweets and anything fried), to helping you look your best (you always wanted to look sharp); and sitting with you while you sang , whistled, or watched your favorite shows on tv (the “theme song” you made for me rings through my head constantly).
All of these are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the memories we’ve shared together. These memories help to cement the fact that you were a great man, one in a thousand as my mom said, and she was right. The way you provided for your family and loved us all unconditionally is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I hope and pray if I ever get married that I can find a man like you for my future husband. But, if I cannot, I am so glad I had a man like you for a grandfather.
Thank you for everything you ever did for me, I will always love you. You and I both know you are having the time of your eternal life in Heaven, and I look forward to joining you one day. All my love, Popcorn

Prayers for all the family.

You were a dear and loving father who will be missed so much. You are so special to me. I am so thankful for all the years and memories we shared together. You were one in a thousand, I am so blessed to have you as my father. Although you have gone home to be with the Lord, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget you, thank you for everything. I love you, Daddy ~ Ann
