Rosalie Marie Baker's Obituary
Rosalie Marie Baker, 87, of Culpeper passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born June 15, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late John A. and Emma L. Rosson Hixson.
She is survived by two children, Thomas Steven Hawkins and his wife, Ginger of Madison; and Joan Hawkins Soutter of Culpeper; two sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Powers and Emma L. Payne, both of Culpeper; three grandchildren, Bobby G. Soutter, Jr. of Culpeper, Jonathan T. Hawkins of Madison, and Tracy L. Soutter of Culpeper; and one great grandson, John Hawkins of Madison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel W. Baker, Sr.; two brothers, William Hixson and Charles Hixson; her son-in-law, Bobby G. Soutter; and one granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Soutter.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 5p.m. to 7 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper, VA with Father Kevin Walsh officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
