Rosa was a faithful member of True Light Church for 58 years and she always lived her life in such a way that her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would say to her one day “Well done thou good and faithful servant.” She loved to sing hymns her favorite being His Eye is On the Sparrow.
She was a dedicated and devoted servant of the Lord and a true Proverbs 31 Women: “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Rosa Lee Carter; and infant son, Rodney Maurice Tyler; and seven brothers.
She was the beloved and cherished wife of Elder Warren L. Tyler, Sr for 64 years.
She is survived by four children, Peggy Tyler, Warren Tyler, Jr. (Sheila), Claude Tyler (Bennetta) and Cynthia Tyler (Tony Loveless, fiancé), all of Spotsylvania, VA; and special daughter Mandisa Carter of Stafford, VA. Rosa was not only a dear mother but a friend to all her children. Always dispensing loving wisdom and gentle advice.
She was a loving grandmother to two grandsons, Brandon Tyler (Julie) of Ruther Glen, VA and Matthew Tyler of Spotsylvania; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylin & Kyra Tyler of Ruther Glen, VA and Adrian Tyler of Spotsylvania.
