I just learned of Ron’s passing. Some of the best times of my life were spent with Ron, his son Scott, my late brother Tom, and the rest of our crew fishing bass tournaments or playing golf. I will never forget and cherish to this day all of the great times we had. Ron frequently made us all laugh, particularly when he didn’t get his food in a restaurant in a timely manner or when he debated Tom on a variety of topics. Now he and Tom can reunite to continue those debates, fish, hunt, and play golf. Ron was honest, gracious, and always willing to help a friend. He will be greatly missed.
My deepest sympathies to Scott and the entire Shaffer family. Rest in peace my friend.
