Ronald Wayne Rinker II's Obituary
Ronald Wayne Rinker, II, passed away at the University of Virginia Medical Center on October 17, 2021. Wayne was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, on October 16, 1969, to parents Ronnie and Mary Ann Rinker. Wayne was four years old when the family moved to Culpeper where he lived the majority of his life and was a 1988 graduate of Culpeper County High School.
Following graduation, Wayne established his own trucking business, R.W. Rinker Trucking, and maintained a successful operation for many years. His big rig was his pride and joy; the more chromed-up and chicken lights, the better.
Wayne was generous, kind, and passionate about the things he believed in. He enjoyed being an uncle to his four nephews. He was so very proud of each of them and loved them immensely. Wayne was an avid sports fan, politically engaged, loved fast cars, and enjoyed a good laugh.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Zerkel Rinker of Culpeper; brother, Timothy Rinker (Candice) of Culpeper; sister, Angela Rinker Gamble (Anthony) of Charlottesville; four nephews, Roman and Gryphon Gamble, Levi and Simon Rinker; as well as numerous memorable aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald W. Rinker; maternal grandparents James and Lelia Zerkel; and paternal grandparents James and Trilby Rinker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 21st from 6 – 8pm at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels (Culpeper). The funeral service will take place at Reformation Lutheran Church (Culpeper) on Friday, October 22nd at 11am, and interment will follow at 2:30pm at Grace United Church of Christ (10492 Orkney Grade, Mt. Jackson). Face masks will be required for all indoor functions, regardless of vaccination status.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to Donate Life America (donatelife.net/contribute or by mailing a check to their office at 701 E. Byrd Street, 16th Floor, Richmond VA 23219). Wayne was living proof of the importance of organ donation.
