Ronald Lee McFadden's Obituary
Ronald Lee McFadden, 73, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away on May 10, 2024. He was born on February 6, 1951 in Lynchburg, Virginia to Cathleen Hawkins McFadden and Russell Joseph McFadden. Ronnie loved his career as a school bus driver in Stafford County, and always looked forward to seeing, in his words, “My Sweet Kids”. He also got to know their parents and felt like they were his “other families”.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rita Burton McFadden, stepdaughter, April Roberts; daughter, Traci Lee McFadden, and her brother, Ronald Lee McFadden; daughter, Heather McFadden and her brother, Daniel Wayne McFadden; brothers, Michael McFadden and Larry McFadden (Deborah); sister, Donna Schaeffer (Dave); 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He loved his family dearly, including all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cathleen Hawkins McFadden, in 2005; father, Russell Joseph McFadden, in 1994; daughter, Kelli Lyn McFadden Goins (Richard), in 2020; his brother, Russell Bernard McFadden, in 2023; Majesta Kay McFadden, May 24, 2022; Linda Kay Bogle McFadden, April 6, 2008; and Fred J. MacFadden, and Alveda I. McFadden.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024 at White Oak Fire Department, 12 Newton Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
