Ronald S. Marcou's Obituary
Ronald “Pop” Steven Marcou, 58, of Elkwood died Monday, June 14, 2010 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born September 18, 1951 in Sharon, CT to Roland and Geraldine Bailey Marcou.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Marcou, his children, Ginny Holstein and her husband, John of Rhoadesville, VA, Lucy Carter and her husband, Ricky of Rhoadesville, Charles Handlowich and his wife, Tracey of Culpeper, Mae Curtis and her fiancé, Jeff Kuykendall of Orange, and Robert Marcou of Manassas, ten grandchildren, Ricky, Becky and Samantha Carter, Thomas and Michael Holstein, Christopher and William Curtis, Jesse and Keith Jenkins, and Robbie Marcou, one great granddaughter, Candace “Jelly Bean” Settle, one sister, Rolanda Williams and her husband, Charles of Brandy Station, six siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dean Woodard and seven additional siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark DeAngelis officiating.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel to assist with the funeral expenses.
