Ronald "Jake" Jacobs' Obituary
Ronald “Jake” Lee Jacobs, 76, of Elkwood died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born October 30, 1934 in Culpeper County to the late Charles William and Melissa Wrenn Jacobs.
Mr. Jacobs was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his brother, Reginald W. Jacobs of West Virginia, niece and nephew, Linda and Randy Jacobs of West Virginia, and special friends and neighbors, Janet and Charles Brown. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Frances Cash Myers of Fredericksburg and other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Cash Jacobs, his sister, Betty Zane Jacobs and one sister-in-law, Frances Lou Jacobs.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chaz Campbell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Richardsville Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 29361 Eleys Ford Rd., Richardsville, VA 22736.
