Ronald Kent Foust's Obituary
Ronald Kent Foust, 82, of Locust Grove, died Saturday July 22, 2017 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born November 16, 1934 in Charleston, WV to the late Samuel and Edna May Foust.
Ron was loved by his family and many friends. He adored his wife, Joyce, and they recently celebrated 58 years of marriage. He also loved his kids and grandchildren, and never failed to tell them so. Children include two sons, Michael McCullough and his wife Lorianne of Reston VA, and Randy Foust of Locust Grove; a daughter, Jennifer Foust and her husband Jeff of Forest, VA. Grandchildren include Nate, Zach, Nicholas and his wife Ashleigh, and Anika.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Foust; and a brother, Jon Foust.
For most of his career, Ron was a systems analyst for the National Park Service; he later worked in the banking industry in Wash DC. In retirement, Ron and Joyce began an antique business together. Throughout his life, Ron was also a devoted volunteer. He showed his faith by volunteering in the church, in the soup kitchen and as a foster parent. He also faithfully served as a hospice volunteer for more than 20 years.
A service to Celebrate Life will be held Saturday July 29, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow. A second service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Black Oak Farm, Wolcott, IN.
