Roland Crowley's Obituary
Roland H. Crowley, 82, of Rappahannock Academy, VA died Friday, October 6, 2006 at Bowling Green Health Care Center.
Roland was born in Essex County, VA to the late Hunter and Emma Crowley.
Roland worked at FMC for 27 years and then went to work at Virginia Dominion Power where he retired. He was very proud of his military service during World War II serving April 1943-May 1946 in Company B 1253rd Engineer Combat Battallion.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Daisy I. Crowley; a son, Roland W. Crowley and his wife, Charlene of Woodford, VA; a daughter, Mary Crowe and her husband, Rickie of Mocksville, NC; five grandchildren, Timothy, Brian, Troy, Hope and Mark and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 9, 2006 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, corner of Courthouse Road and Southpoint Parkway. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 1:00 pm at in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Paul Harfst officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Virginia, 2601 Willard Rd # 103, Richmond, Virginia 23294 or to a favorite charity.
