When I first met Roger, he was working for a contractor supporting the government for the Fleet Support Group, where I worked. Roger, being an X-Submarine Sailor, wrote many of the inputs for documents going to the Fleet. Roger was not only extremely intelligent, he was also very patient, as I was still learning. Whenever I'd go to him for assistance, he'd say, "Now what do you want?" But he would always take the time to answer all my questions or find someone who would. He loved to kid around and one of the things I will never forget is his smile. He could light up the room with his smile. I changed jobs and Roger later started working for the government. When talking with one of the managers, he said Roger sure made his job easier since he provided any support needed and was also very loyal. I will always remember Roger smiling and happy, and he will be sorely missed. I feel in my heart that Roger would want his family and friends to keep him in their hearts and thoughts and to remember the happy memories you have about him, especially as the holiday season approaches. Also know that he's not suffering anymore and is in a better place. Peace be with you all. Jeanne Tennyson Weaver, K53, NSWCDD
