Roger A. McIntosh, Captain, USMC (Retired) March 7, 1938 – June 15, 2022
Roger A. McIntosh, 84, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
He served 21 years in the United States Marine Corps as both enlisted and officer. Roger was a former Senior Vice President of Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation, a former Director of Development of Shenandoah Valley Educational Television Corporation, a former Executive Director of Harrisonburg/Rockingham County United Way, a Past President of the Chesterfield, VA Kiwanis Club, and a Past President of the Marine Air Traffic Control Association.
Roger married the former Carole Lorraine Cleveland on July 28, 1956. In addition to his loving wife, Carole, he is survived by his daughter, Anne Cartwright, of Calgary Alberta, Canada; his son, William McIntosh; along with his grandchildren, Jessica, Patrick, William, Jeffrey, Patricia, Deborah, and Jennifer; and all his great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen McIntosh.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
