Roderick L. Slaughter, Jr.'s Obituary
Roderick L. Slaughter, Jr., 19, of Culpeper died Sunday, October 22, 2006. He was born June 30, 1987 in Charlottesville, VA to Roderick L. Slaughter, Sr. and Jessica Newman.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Ryan Slaughter, his two sisters, Raelyn and Ryanna Slaughter, his paternal grandmother, Mollie Slaughter, his maternal grandmother, Christine Hackley, his maternal grandfather, Charles Bannister, his step grandmother, Ruby Bannister, his aunts, Darlene Fields and her husband, Greg, Angelea Wright and her fiancé, Emmit Starks, Octavia Lewis and her husband, Tim, and Latasha Jackson and her husband, Chris, his uncle Richard Bannister and his wife, Tonya.
Additional survivors include his paternal great grandmother, Martha Slaughter, his cousins, Mike Slaughter, Jasmine Fields, Tiana Turner, Xzavia Hayden, Juan Sanchez, Anna Sanchez, Sherman Slaughter, Jr., Jessie Slaughter, D’Andre Wilkins, one special cousin, Ahsahnte Nelson, and many other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Leroy Slaughter, his maternal step grandfather, James Hackley, and one aunt, Gennifer Renay Slaughter.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Timothy Minor and Rev. Michael Tinsley officiating.
Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Woodville.
Pallbearers will be Prentice Newman, Raymond Newman, Shelton Brown, Tony Newman, Hugh Lane, Charles Lane, Jr., Emmit Starks, and Kelly Drumgoole.
