Robert Wise Buchanan's Obituary
Robert Wise Buchanan, 67, of Remington died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1939 in Warrenton, VA to the late David Murray Buchanan, Sr. and Mary Catherine Robinson Case.
Mr. Buchanan was an active member of Open Door Baptist Church. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband to his wife of 36 years and a dedicated father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Jean Buchanan of Remington, and two sons, Patrick Buchanan and his wife, Cathi of Jeffersonton and Brian Buchanan and his wife, Carrie of Castleton.
Additional survivors include one sister, Alice Early of Opal and one brother David Buchanan of Warrenton and one grandson, Robert Parker Buchanan of Jeffersonton.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens with Rev. Bernie Jernigan officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Buchanan's name to Open Door Baptist Church, 754 Germanna Hwy, Culpeper, VA 22701 and/or Hospice of the Rapidan, 1200 Sunset Lane, Culpeper, VA 22701.
