Robert Nelson Deal's Obituary
Robert Nelson Deal, 86, of Culpeper, died Saturday, August 08, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was born March 27, 1923 in Culpeper County to the late Taylor Deal and Savilla Burke Deal.
Mr. Deal was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from Rochester Cable Company in 1985 after 39 years of service, was an avid member of the VFW Post 2524 serving as past Captain of Color Guard.
Mr. Deal is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Bowen Deal, and a son, Kenny M. Deal of Fredericksburg. Additional survivors include two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery (new) with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
