Robert Edward Willis' Obituary
Robert Edward Willis, 77, of Culpeper died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. He was born June 27, 1931 in Panola, MS to the late Robert Harvey Willis and Clara Belle Burnet Willis.
Mr. Willis was a retired Master Sgt. with the United States Army with 24 ½ years of service in the transportation department. He was a member of the V.F.W. and Silver Seniors at the Culpeper County Library. He worked for Aileen and Southern Garment stores and later was employed over 20 years for the Culpeper County School Board.He enjoyed fishing, leather crafting and helping others with handy work around the neighborhood.
He is survived by his son, Edward Willis and his wife, Christine, and his daughters, Robbin Willis and Catherine Willis, all of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include, six siblings, Belle Caulder of MS, Marjorie Logan of MS, Richard Willis of UT, Alice Willis of TN, Diane Crafton of MS, and Franklin Willis of TN, and three grandchildren, Jesse Jenkins and his wife, Danyell, Claire Willis and Jeremy Willis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dora Dean Willis, two brothers, James and John Willis, sister, Maggie Catherine Willis and his grandson, Jason Jenkins.
