Robert Turner, Jr.'s Obituary
Robert Turner, Jr. 82, departed this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at UVA Culpeper Hospital.
Mr. Turner was born on July 14, 1933 in Rappahannock County to the late Robert Turner, Sr. and Irene Grant.
He entered the military (Army) from November 1953 and was honorably released August 1955. He then went to work and retired from Crowell Brothers in Culpeper. Robert was an outgoing person and was well liked by many in addition to being a hard worker who loved his family and friends alike.
Mr. Turner is survived by his five children; Jackie D. Turner(Diane), Denise Turner, Deborah Turner, Tyrone Turner(Tasha) and Robert Turner III(Tarsha), ten grandchildren; Corey, Shakira, Micah, Dashan, Demoare, Brooklyn, Kaylea, Jazzell, Antonio and Teia, six great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a special niece Estelle Carter.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his wife, Alice A. Brown; and five siblings.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels with Rev. Ludwell Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery (Old) with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is serving the family.
