Although I didn't know Robert, I wanted to send you my condolences. As humans, we grieve over the death of a loved one; that’s normal, because we know Jesus gave way to tears (John 11:35) after the death of his close friend Lazarus. He demonstrated what resurrection will mean for mankind; in John 11:11, 14-44, “Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ Luke 23:43 provides us the hope for paradise here on earth, because Jesus stated, “Truly I tell you today, YOU will be with me in Paradise.” Jesus statement meant that “All the earth will be transformed back into a paradise under the rule of Christ as King!
1 Thessalonians 4:13 Paul instructs us to not be ignorant concerning those who are sleep (in death); This hope Paul mentions is the hope for the restored Paradise on Earth, as Jehovah God had originally created for all of mankind to enjoy. I hope the words in this letter provide comfort for your family, because as long as you serve God wholeheartedly, you will see Robert again!
