Robert Wayne Shelton's Obituary
Robert W. Shelton, 57, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at his home in Bumpass. He was born December 18, 1966 in Washington, D.C. to Wayne and Julia Shelton. He married Lori Jett on November 9, 1985 in Spotsylvania.
Robert was a heavy equipment mechanic for more than 30 years and a West Virginia Mountaineer fan for longer. He was a member of Rolling Thunder Chapter 3 for 12 years where he dedicated his time to supporting the men and women that fought for our country. He went on to become the Vice President in September 2022.
He is survived by his wife, Lori; son, Robert Shelton (Kristin); daughter, Julia Shelton (Alex); brother, Gregory Shelton (Sharon); four grandchildren, Kylie, Tyler, Kaeleigh, and Kynlee; along with aunts; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Julia Shelton.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
