Robert Olson, Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Edward Olson, 76, of Spotsylvania County died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine Olson; one daughter, Nancy Valentic and her husband, Mike, of Stafford County; two sisters, Noreen Clark and Mary McNulty and her husband, John, all of South Philly; two grandchildren, Michelle Beddard and her husband, Otto, of Spotsylvania, and Michael Valentic Jr. of Stafford; three great-grandchildren, Eric, Harley and Rhianna Beddard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert E. Olson Jr.
Robert retired from the United States Navy in 1972 as a lithographer.
Robert's family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Found & Sons Funeral Chapels-Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert's name to the American Cancer Society, c/o Trudy Clifton, 113 Tallpines Ave., Locust Grove, Va. 22508.
