Robert Douglas Marshall's Obituary
Robert Douglas Marshall, 69, of Culpeper died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born July 3, 1945 in Washington DC to the late Dorothy Corum and Casey Marshall.
He attended Rappahannock, Culpeper and Fauquier County schools. He graduated from Fauquier High School after which he went into the US Army in support of the government. He finished his tour 2 and a half years later. In 1975, “Bob” made the most important decision of his life. This is when he became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in support of God’s lasting government with a real foundation and hope. He will be remembered by many for his much loved hobby of driving the school bus.
On February 14, 1968, Robert Marshall and Mildred (Jackson) were united in marriage. They had two daughters, Robin Denise “Winkie” Marshall and Rochelle Duran “Rodie” Marshall.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mildred; one of his daughters, Rochelle; his two sons-in-law, Jacob West and Kirk Orange; his grandson, Robert Logan “little man” West; his foster brother, John M. Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Robin and his foster mother, Lilla Tolbert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1 pm at Culpeper Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15103 Rixeyville Rd., Culpeper, VA.
