Robert H. Jones' Obituary
Robert H. Jones, 70, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, Elizabeth, by his side on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett L. Jones, Sr., and Mary W. Jones.
Bob graduated from James Monroe High School in 1964, and from the Univ. of Richmond in 1967.
He worked for the Prince William Police Department and the Stafford Sheriff's Police Department.
He was also a math teacher in the Stafford Co. School System, and retired after many years of service from the Federal Gov't. in Washington, D.C.
Bob enjoyed his passion of scuba diving immensely and became an instructor.
Additional survivors include a brother, Bennett L. Jones, Jr., a sister, Kathy Holloway, both of Fredericksburg, a special cousin, Peggy McWhirt, of Chincoteague Island, Va., as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services in Bob's memory will be private.
