Robert Johnson's Obituary
Robert Edward Bob Johnson, Jr., 68, of Woodbridge passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Robert worked at the Pentagon as an Information Technology Specialist for the Federal Government, retiring in 2006. He was a highly decorated Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army for over 22 years.
He is survived by his son, Robert E. Johnson III and his wife, Alicia of Dale City; two daughters, Cynthia Gavin and her husband, Vincent of California and Calandra Celeste’ Johnson-Calopietro of Stafford County; a brother, Eurgetee Johnson and a sister, Betty Reynolds, both of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn M. Johnson and his parents, Bettie and Robert Johnson, Sr.; three brothers, Doree, John L. and William and two sisters, Margie and Carl.
Robert’s family will receive friends Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 9:00-11:00 am at Agape Fellowship Ministries with a funeral service following at 11:00 am with the Rev. Vincent Allen officiating. Interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
