Robert Lester Gallahan's Obituary
Robert L. "Bobby" Gallahan, 76, of Stafford County died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was a Vietnam Veteran, 25th Infantry Division purple heart with oak leaf cluster recipient. He retired from the Department of Defense in Fort Belvoir, VA.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Gallahan; daughters, Sherri Purks (Jason), and Crystal Jeffries (Robert); grandchildren, Shane Purks, Raven Jeffries (Jacob Bufka) and Dalton Jeffries; great granddaughter, Skylar Bufka; sisters, Yvonne Bourne (Henry) and Debbie Morris (Larry); niece, Wendi Martin (Kevin); and nephews, Chris Bourne (Lisa) and Jason Morris (Lora).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester P. Gallahan, Kathryn Rodgers Gallahan, and Ralph Rodgers; and sisters, Linda Gallahan, and Jewell F. Pitts.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Faith Christian Fellowship Church, 319 Deacon Road, Fredericksburg, VA. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his name to Faith Christian Fellowship Church.
