Robert Lewis Clark's Obituary
Robert Lewis Clark 68, of Culpeper passed on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on March 22, 1946 in Culpeper to the late Elizabeth Catherine Clark. Robert affectionately known as “Bobby” to family and friends served our County as a Sargent for the United States Air force in the 834th Civil Engineering Squad as a Fire Protection Specialist where he was honorably discharged in 1968. He retired from Arlington County Government where he worked for several years as a Sanitary Technician before returning back to Culpeper.
He was a soldier, a loving father, a faithful friend, and a devoted husband, who has left a void in the lives of his family and others he has touch throughout his life’s journey. He taught his children how to be hard working respectful, and successful individuals and they intern have passed these practices onto their own children to carry on the legacy, so that his family will grow and prosper in his absence from the body.
He is survived by his wife and 45 year companion Avis C. Tyler, three children, Robert Clark Jr. and wife, Tina of Bowie Maryland, Athena Tyler-Overton and her husband, Robert of Suitland, Maryland and Keiona Clark of Cottage City, Maryland; and one brother, Larry Clark and his wife, Lillian of Culpeper, Virginia.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren, Derick Kreamer, Damion Kreamer, Robert, III (Tre), Jakaya Tyler; nephews and niece, Jeremy, Jameka and Johnathan Robinson; and numerous other extended family and close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Apostle, Dr. Glen L. Robinson of Holy Temple of Deliverance in Greenville, South Carolina officiating. Viewing will be available on hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Culpeper National Cemetery, 305 U S Ave, Culpeper, VA 22701 with military honors provided by Culpeper V.F.W Post 2524 and Culpeper American Legion Post 330.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Tyler - (Brother In-law), Robert Overton – (Son In law), Terry Butler – (Friend), Jerry Alexander – (Cousin) Alfred Reeves – (Friend), Jeremy Robinson – (Nephew).
The Repass will be held at VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars USA, 1375 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701
