Robert Henry Aylor's Obituary
Robert Henry Aylor, 86, of Culpeper, died Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Spring Oak of Warrenton. He was born on May 25, 1938, in Madison County to the late Robert Walker and Eliza Rosson Aylor. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Aylor, and three siblings, Mary Aylor, Sarah Lewis, and Claude Aylor.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert H. Aylor, Jr. (Lesa), Pamela Luthman (Nick), Anthony W. Aylor (Karen), and Timothy D. Aylor; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Alison, Derek, Jenna, Lindsey, and Kathryn; and three great grandchildren, Mia, Madison, and J.J. He is also survived by one sister, Margaret Harpine.
Robert retired from C&P Telephone Company, where he was a valued employee who never missed a day of work in over 30 years. He was a longtime member of Culpeper Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a choir member for 45 years. He helped organize the church softball league here in Culpeper, as well as in Manassas. Robert especially enjoyed 25 years of mission trips with the Baptist Church. He loved serving God and others. In his spare time, he enjoyed cruises with his wife, raising tomatoes in his garden, and golfing at the Culpeper Country Club.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Culpeper Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Carlton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
