Rita Mary Roper's Obituary
Rita Mary Roper, 82, of Culpeper died Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home. She was born June 25, 1938 in Homestead, Pennsylvania to the late John and Lillian Sperhac.
Mrs. Roper was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Bristersburg, VA.
She is survived by four children, William Hal Roper, Kenneth Roy Roper (Delores), Diane Lorraine Sharp (David) and Robert Allen Roper (Patricia); three siblings, Lawrence Sperhac (Gloria), Kathleen Nestler, Sharon Karnes (Cliff) and one sister-in-law, Patricia Sperhac; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hal Roper; one son, David John Roper; and one brother, John Sperhac.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jacob Slaubaugh officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required to enter the building.
