Rita Randall Bain's Obituary
Rita Randall Bain, 84, of Culpeper, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family.
Mrs. Bain was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Pauline Randall, and by her brother, Raymond Randall, all of Ballston Spa, NY. She is survived by her husband, Walt Bain, of Culpeper; and eight children, Sharon Ridgill (Steve), of Asheboro, NC; George Bain, of Bealeton, VA; Sue Bain, of Asheboro, NC; Walter Bain, Jr., of Bluemont, VA; Sandy Bain, of Strasburg, VA; Shelley Berry (Alex), of Danese, WV; Dan Bain (Kim), of Knightdale, NC; and Bryan Bain, of Fairfax, VA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bain was born in Ballston Spa, NY, on October 26, 1930. She received her RN certification – second in her class – from St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, NY, in 1951. She later left nursing to become a full-time housewife and mother. She was a faithful and active Roman Catholic, most recently a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, in Purcellville, VA. She was an active volunteer with her church; Girl Scouts; Boy Scouts; Loudoun Memorial Hospital in Leesburg, VA; her children’s schools; and the community at large. Her abundant spirit and loving demeanor will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Mrs. Bain’s life will be celebrated with a Mass on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 E. Edmondson St., Culpeper, VA, followed by interment at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jeffersonton, VA.
