Ricky Wayne Jett's Obituary
Ricky Wayne Jett, 65, of Spotsylvania County passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2023.
Ricky was a dump-truck driver for many years. He retired from Virginia Department of Transportation after 18 years.
Ricky was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carla Ann Knight Jett; their children, Richard “Little Ricky” Jett of Spotsylvania, Monica Morris (Mike) of Mineral, Michael Jett of Spotsylvania, and Stephen Jett (Amanda) of Mineral; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, McKenzi, Hunter, Airiana, and Emmalyn “Emmie”; and siblings, Robert Jett of King George, Linda Cole (Gary) of Spotsylvania, Lori Shelton of Spotsylvania, and Kathy Curtis of Spotsylvania.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Shirley Jett; and his brother, William “Billy” Jett.
Ricky’s family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Ricky will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Morris, Gary Cole, Dewayne “Rob” Shelton, Brandon Sorrells, Thomas Curtis and Dwayne Coates.
