Rickie Jaye Rutherford, Sr.'s Obituary
Rickie Jay Rutherford, Sr., 45, of Rixeyville passed away at his residence on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He was born in Warrenton on January 1, 1968 in time to be the first baby of the year.
Rickie was self-employed and a former Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office Deputy. He was a loving, caring person and was passionate about his family and his dogs. Rickie loved to tease and would carry whatever burden you had to share.
He is survived by his parents, Dyanne Holt and her husband, Jim of Reva, Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Rutherford Sr. of Rixeyville.
Rickies loving wife, Tammy Rutherford; his children, Rickie Jaye Jr., Casey, Haley, Garrick, Taya, Tyler, Lauren and Joseph; grandchildren, Chase, Sean, Kiley, Mason and Jordan Skye; and his siblings, Jack Rutherford, Jr. of Culpeper, Melissa Yancey of Culpeper and Ashley “Apple Core” Rutherford of Rixeyville.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be sent to Dyanne Holt/Tammy Rutherford, 17735 Reva Rd., Reva, VA 22735.
