Richard L. Bayne, Sr.'s Obituary
Our loving father, Richard L. Bayne, Sr., went to be with his parents Charlie and Katherine Bayne in the early morning hours of January 20, 2009.
He is survived by his children, Stephanie Bayne Parks and her husband, Jimmie of Orange, Richard L. Bayne, Jr. and his wife, Stacey and Sixx Lee Bayne, all of Culpeper. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances Bayne and her husband, Jeff Huntly of Wisconsin, Marylou Brumbles and her husband, Phil, Hugh Bayne and his wife, Brenda, and Charles H. Bayne, all of Culpeper, several aunts, Ada Smith, Hazel Veltoven, Bessie Norman, and Julia Sisk whom he was extremely close to, and one uncle, A.B. Hawkins.
He leaves behind his five grandchildren, Anthony Hockman, Gracie Parks and Katie Parks, all of Orange, Austin Bayne and Candace Bayne of Culpeper and Reagan Leighanna Bayne who is on the way. Pop Pop will be missed terribly by each one of his babies.
Richard also leaves behind his first wife, Debra Dustin, a special friend, Karen Fox and her son, Rodney Cave who Richard treated as a son, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Bayne.
Richard worked for Merchants Grocery for 28 years. He loved watching westerns, hunting, playing cards and spending time with his family. He worked hard all his life and would do anything for anyone. “He will be in our hearts forever and not a day will go by without us thinking of him.”
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Carlton Dustin officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Gugliemelli, Ron Dreher, Donald Dustin, Shane Miller, David Woodward, T.J. Martin, Mike Woodward and Greg Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Burke, George Miller, Anthony Hockman and Austin Bayne.
