Richard Matthew Van Houten's Obituary
Richard Matthew VanHouten, 20, of Spotsylvania County, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 14, 2019.
Matthew graduated from Spotsylvania High School in 2017. He attended Brooke Pointe High School for most of his high school education. Matthew was very friendly, kind, and welcoming to all. He loved his family and his dog, Bear.
He is survived by his parents, Callie Khalil and Jack Wiley; a brother, Jace Wiley; maternal grandmother, Jackie VanHouten; paternal grandmother, Ruby Wiley-Jones; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and other loving extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, 32250 Old Plank Road, Mine Run, VA 22508.
