Richard W. Scuteri's Obituary
Richard W. Scuteri, 80, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
A Brooklyn native, he was born, raised, and retired from the city of New York. He spent the last 25 years in Virginia, but no matter how long he lived in the South, he never lost his New York sense of humor and personality. Richard was tough, strong, charming, witty, loving, honest and loyal. He was a hard worker and an ‘old school’ kind of person. Richard was also a proud Air Force veteran. He was a New York Giants fan, but was especially dedicated to and loved baseball and the New York Yankees. Richard was also a devoted Consumer Reports reader and loved everything about Costco.
Richard loved his family more than anything. He is survived by his children, Stacy A. Lowenschuss, William Scuteri, and Carolyn Malhotra (Chet), his former wife and friend, Maureen Scuteri, a sister, Barbara Reuter, eight grandchildren, Gabrielle, Joseph, Grace, Brooke, Justin, Madison, Jayden and Austin; and many other loving extended family.
He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Fannie and Giglio Scuteri.
Richard's family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd., Triangle.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, stjude.org/donate
