Richard Wayne Pierson
Born in Westerville, Ohio April 16, 1940, left his worldly vessel on November 18, 2022, raised in a small farming community in central Ohio where he graduated from Big Walnut in 1958. He then joined the Army Reserve as he attended Zaneria College of penmanship in this time he meet his wife Geneva and started a family. Where his Calligraphy was more accessible he moved his small family to Washington DC and once he established himself moved out to Rappahannock county where he worked from his studio home for over 55 years. Aside from his art, his other hobby was old 78 phonograph records that brought him to be on the radio in DC as well as local stations like WEER or more known to locals Big K radio out of Warrenton. He is proceeded in death by his father and mother Jim and Ruth Pierson of Center Village, Ohio. His brother Kenny Pierson and his two Daughters Tammy Pierson and Phoebe Williamson of St. Croix, VI. He I s survived by his wife of 63 years, Geneva Hall Pierson, and two children, Jeannine (Donnie) of Tennessee and Dwayne (Lisa) of Madison, VA. Four grandchildren Justin and Ryan of Tennessee, Rocky and Ollie Pierson of Madison, and one great-granddaughter Maddie. It is hard to go on without them but your memories will stay with us and your art that is all over will live on longer than all of us.
