Richard Carlyle Orton's Obituary
Richard Orton, 84, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Center.
Richard liked working with wood and doing anything with his hands; he also enjoyed sports, golfing, hunting, and fishing; he loved children and animals.
Richard is survived by his wife of 23 years, Eleanor Orton; his eight children, Wayne and Bob Orton, Elizabeth Shippers, Mary Lum, Carol Johnson, Robin Self, Lori Petrovitch, and Shelley Dumont and their spouses; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, Richard’s family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the National Parkinson Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
