Sorry for the lateness, I'm so glad for the Internet and the ability to find this. My name is Joe, the great nephew of Richard. His sister Catherine was my beloved grandmother. I never really got to know Uncle Richard, mainly because of where we both lived. The few times I got to see him, mainly at reunions I think, he always had a smile and something to make me laugh. I believe the last time I saw him, it was outside a gas station in my hometown in West Virginia with Uncle Sonny for a funeral of another family member. I don't remember everything we talked about, but Uncle Richard was so kind and I did end up having a good laugh with him and Uncle Sonny. I extend my condolences to my cousins and others saddened by the passing of Uncle Richard. Rest in peace, Uncle Richard. I will miss you.
