Richard Hardin's Obituary
Richard E. Hardin, 59, of Culpeper went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 8, 2009. He was born January 2, 1950 in Tulsa, OK.
Richard entered the U.S. Marine Corp in 1967 after graduating college and served for four years. He later became employed by Branch Electric in Culpeper for 16 years and was a member of IBEW Union Local 26 as a master electrician. Richard was fondly known by many as “Richey Rich”. He was a godly, faithful member of New Life Baptist Church and prayer warrior. He loved to go to gun shows and to go fishing with his little buddy Zach Clatterbuck.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Rosemary Breeden Hardin, one daughter, Susan Rolka of Fredericksburg, two sons, Steve Payne and Brian Payne of Stafford. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Barbara Hardin Richey of Arkansas, two brothers, Harry Hardin, III of Missouri and Tom Hardin of Arkansas, and one sister, Joyce Norwood of Colorado, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and special family on Spring St.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Hardin, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be George Clatterbuck, Matthew Nash, Derek Nash, Luther Fincham, Steve Payne, Brian Payne and George Clatterbuck, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger White, Dr. Pete Goodfield and Roy Seale.
