Richard Lynn Fancher's Obituary
Richard Lynn Fancher of Culpeper, VA, passed away on March 27, 2026, at Blue Ridge Christian Home in Bealeton, Virgina. He was born on April 29, 1940, in Johnson City, New York to the late Margaret Flick and Floyd Jacob Fancher Jr.
He was a Veteran from the United States Army and retired from IBM. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. He was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by two daughters, Margaret and husband Michael Kokoszka and Deborah and husband Darryl Payne; three grandchildren, Sierra and husband Shawn Johnson, Lauren and husband Faissal Al Hashimi, Brandon and wife Isabel Esquivel Payne; three great-granddaughter’s Reagan Avery Johnson, Rory Quinn Johnson and Rena Jacqueline Al Hashimi and one great-grandson, Liam Ryan Al Hashimi; two brothers, Michael Fancher and wife Yvonne and Floyd J. Fancher III and his wife Becky and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends including his extended family at Blue Ridge Christian Homes.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline Vavra Fancher; daughter, Mary Kathleen Fancher; grandson, Ryan Michael Kokoszka and great- granddaughter Rowan Madison Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
