Jerry Anderson
Please accept my condolences. I relieved Dick as commanding officer of USS John Paul Jones in December 1972 at the Long Beach, California Naval Station. Although we only met for a short time, before the change of command, I was impressed by his pride in the ship and in his crew. I was fortunate to have had such a professional and talented predecessor. I will always remember him. Best wishes, Jerry Anderson, Captain, U. S. Navy (Ret.)
