Richard Allen Brown
Richard Allen Brown, 68, of Sperryville, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2014.
Richard was born in Rappahannock County on April 4, 1946 to the late Richard Davis Brown and Susie Helen Dodson Brown.
Richard was joyfully known as “Allen” who loved the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Greatly enjoyed watching television and just loved to make people laugh.
Richard is survived by his two brothers; John D. Brown and his fiancé Karen Sue Wilson of Luray and Thomas E. Brown and his wife Joyce of Sperryville. One niece and caregiver Jennifer Smoot and her husband David of Sperryville, his special great niece Amber Smoot and his special great nephew David Smoot all also of Sperryville.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, with the Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers named are Neal Atkins, Dean Atkins, Andy Baldwin, Roy Alther, John Dodson, Netus Lee Dodson, Ronnie Dodson and Roger Atkins. Honorary Pallbearers named are Thaniel Dodson, Billy Wayland and Terry Dodson.
