I remember Dick in the library in the house on Edgewater Drive in Lakewood, listening to opera recordings of Wagner. As the eldest of six Nesteruk kids, I heard my mother, Joan, recounting stories of the two of them at Parker's Ranch. Dick and his cousin, our mother Joan Beargie Nesteruk, grew up together and shared a love for horses. They spent their time riding at Parker’s Ranch as children and teens.
Their fathers, twins Clair and Clem, married sisters Evelyn and Agnes, so they shared some extra DNA.
Mom firmly believed that there are animals in heaven. I hope Dick and mom are riding together again.
